Chiayo conference systems can typically connect dozens to hundreds of devices, depending on the environment and model. For configurations requiring 30 to 50 units, we recommend using the GM-243C/S and GMC-60 series conference systems.

What is the difference between GM-243C and GM-243S?
GM-243C is for chairman. Besides TALK button, it's added a chair priority button (MUTE) which can control the speech of all delegates.
GM-243S is for delegate and only has a talk button (TALK).

What are GMC-10 +, GMC-30 and GMC-60 for?
GMC-10 +, GMC-30 and GMC-60 are audio converters that can deliver the audio from the conference system to an amplifier or mixer.

What is the difference among GMC-10 +, GMC-30, GMC-60?
GMC-10+ can connect up to 10 units of GM-243 in series and require power from one GM-243 unit. GMC-30 can connect up to 30 units of GM-243 in series and power the system. GMC-60 can connect up 60 units of GM-243 and power the system.

Two GM-243C at max can exist in the same loop.

How to set the SYSTEM SWITCH (C/S) of GMC-10+, GMC-30 and GMC-60?
If any GM-243C is in the same loop of conference system, set switch at "C". If all microphones are GM-243S, switch at "S".
If any GM-243C in the GMC-60/30 system, switch to "C".
If no GM-243C in the GMC-60/30 system, switch to "S".
If any GM-243C in the GMC-10+ system, switch to "C".
If no GM-243C in the GMC-10+ system, switch to "S".

Is GM-243C's chairman priority able to control all 118 units of GM-243S?
Two GMC-60 have to be connected with CAT-5e cable via the LINK sockets on the rear panels as the same loop that enables GM-243C to control all 118 GM-243S units.
Connect both LINK sockets and switch system to "C" to become the same loop and control all 118 GM-243S units.

What should I notice during GM-243 conference system installation?
- Do not power on during installation to prevent the devices from damages by short circuit due to poor cable quality.
- Do not use cables of unknown origins, which may cause system errors. Cat.5e / Cat.6 cables of CHIAYO or other internationally-approved origins would be recommended.
- If it's necessary to diy cables required by installation, be sure to examine them with RJ-45 cable tester until no problem before installation.

How to install GM-243 unit to the inputs (PORT) of GMC-10 +, GMC-30 and GMC-60?
Each port can only connect up to 10 units of GM-243 in series. GMC-10+ has only one port, GMC-30 has three and GMC-60 has six.

Why doesn't the port indicator(s) on the front panel light up?
The port indicator lights up only with its corresponed port connected with GM-243 unit. It won't light up without GM-243 even there is a cable connected.

How to set with the MIC / LINE output impedance switch of GMC-10+?
If you would like to output the audio to MIC IN of the amplifier or mixer, please switch to MIC; if to the LINE IN or AUX IN, please switch to LINE.
Switch to "MIC" if connecting to "MIC" jack of the amplifier / mixer.
Switch to "LINE" if connecting to "LINE" or "AUX" jack of the amplifier / mixer.
